This small, stylish, fanless PC is clutter-free and hangs beneath your desk.

For years, I have mounted my desktop computers beneath my desk because it is a terrific method to save room and prevent cable problems, especially if you use a standing desk like I do.

However, a German company has created a tiny desktop computer that can go undetected since it is mounted directly to the underside of the desk and only protrudes a few inches. It is a fanless, silent computer that can run Windows 11.

If you keep up with the latest developments in desktop PC cooling, you will recognize Arctic, despite its modest size. Though not particularly powerful, the Senza Under Desk PC is a full desktop PC design. The housing resembles a server blade in appearance, but it is made to be fitted straight into the underside of your desk, making it practically invisible. The PC’s front-facing inputs and power/reset buttons are also housed in a separate box that can be placed at the front edge of the desk for convenient use. Additionally, cables can be run along the desk’s underside.

With a separate M.2 cooler for the SSD and passive cooling for the CPU and power supply, the Senza is also made to be quiet. Depending on how thick your desk is, the unit in the bottom brings in cool air, while the top vents release warm air, which could make your mousepad a touch toasty.

However, without fans for cooling, do not expect to break any benchmark records. An AMD Ryzen 5 5500GT, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 1TB of storage are included with the Senza. Upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700G or 5700G Pro, which both have 32 gigabytes of RAM, is your only option.

This is not a brand-new concept. We have seen desks that can house PC parts, thereby transforming the desk into a huge PC case. However, Arctic’s approach is less expensive and far simpler to construct and integrate into an existing workplace. FanlessTech estimates that the base model will cost roughly €600, or $634, which seems reasonable considering all of this specialized design.

Though there would be some clear limitations on parts for thermal management, I would be more thrilled with a modular solution that allows you to apply that passive cooling configuration to your construction.
