I hate to admit it, but the iPad is a damn good tablet, even though I am a Windows and Android evangelist. Additionally, the iPad Mini is the only option available if you are looking for a high-end tablet that is a bit more portable and smaller than the typical suspects.
This sixth-generation iPad Mini is currently available on Amazon for just $300. It is significantly less expensive than the base model iPad thanks to the amazing $200 off the original price.
This is a brand-new iPad, not a refurbished or used one, just to be clear. The main drawback is that it is not the newest model with improved internals but the slightly older 6th-generation model from 2021.
Aside from the A15 processor (still a beast for an 8.3-inch tablet), the smaller 4GB of RAM (ditto), and a few other features like quicker Wi-Fi and USB file transfers, the design is essentially the same. The sixth-generation iPad Mini review from Macworld may be found here.
Since this physical factor has no Android, Windows, or Chrome options, I think the iPad Mini is well worth the 40% price. Although a small Android tablet can be purchased cheaply, its core software and app support will not be nearly as good as Apple’s offering. The iPad Mini is also a fantastic gaming or media tablet when traveling.
Four color options are available for the $300 base 64GB Wi-Fi model from Amazon: space gray, purple, pink, and “Starlight” (which is somewhat gold-ish). It will cost $500 instead of $650 if you want to increase the storage to 256GB, which is still a good value.
