A new gaming display, the LG UltraGear 27GP95U, has native 4K and 144 Hz output. Nevertheless, among other things, the monitor has a 160 Hz refresh rate setting and a maximum brightness of 600 nits.
Building on the success of the UltraGear 27GS60F, UltraGear 24GS60F, and UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB, G has released a new UltraGear gaming monitor. This time, the business has chosen to release a second 27-inch gaming monitor, however it will cost more than the UltraGear 27GS60F. For comparison, the latter is sold in the Eurozone for €199.99.
In comparison, LG has set the pricing of the UltraGear 27GP95U at HK$4,999 (~$640) in Hong Kong but CNY 2,818 (~$391) in China. It should come as no surprise that the UltraGear 27GP95U has more sophisticated hardware than the UltraGear 27GS60F, including the ports listed below:
- 1x 3.5 mm combo jack
- 1x DisplayPort
- 2x HDMI
- 2x USB 3.0 Type-A (downstream)
- 1x USB 3.0 Type-B (upstream)
The UltraGear 27GP95U also outputs 144 Hz and 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. When necessary, though, the display may overclock to a natural refresh rate of 160 Hz. The display also has 400 nits of average brightness, 98% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and 1 ms GtG response times. Having said that, viewing HDR video should be brighter than 600 nits thanks to its VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification.
In addition, the UltraGear 27GP95U supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies to reduce image tearing when playing games at high refresh rates. Regretfully, it’s unclear when the monitor will be accessible everywhere. For additional information about the hardware, please visit LG’s website.
