The Night Light system function, which lowers the amount of blue light in the screen display, is likely recognizable to you if you’re using Windows 10 or 11. The theory is that you may be able to reduce eye strain and improve your quality of sleep by blocking blue light.
However, you won’t be able to use Night Light on an external monitor if your computer is one of those more recent models with Snapdragon chips. Why? Arm-based CPUs’ hardware restrictions are to blame. In particular, Dell has stated that it is “a limitation of the Qualcomm Oryon chipset.”
Thankfully, Windows Latest claims that the upcoming Arm-based chip, which is scheduled for release in September, would eliminate these restrictions. For the time being, utilize a third-party app if you want a blue light filter on an external monitor while using a Windows 11 computer with a Snapdragon CPU.
This is only one factor contributing to the growing excitement surrounding the Snapdragon X Elite 2, a potent Qualcomm chip that is anticipated to appear in Dell PCs starting in the upcoming year.
