If you’re trying to find a cheap laptop, it’s been a difficult month or two, but sales are beginning to return. For instance, this HP laptop. With one of the newest AMD Ryzen processors, this 13-inch portable device is currently available for $589 on Amazon, which is $90 less than its original price.
The OmniBook 7 Aero, weighing 2.2 pounds and featuring a 13.3-inch 1920×1200 screen, is made to be as portable as possible. Although it isn’t the fastest processor available, the AMD Ryzen AI 5 340, a 6-core processor with an inbuilt NPU, is practically certain to outperform any laptop made three or four years ago. This model also has 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, which is the least amount of RAM I would use for Windows 11.
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to physically inspect this laptop. Despite its small size and light weight, the laptop boasts a good number of connections, including full-sized HDMI, double USB-A, and double USB-C, so you can leave the dongle at home. It should also be capable of handling medium-intensive gaming using AMD’s integrated graphics.
The battery, which only has 43 watt-hours, is the only item on the specs sheet that I’m not too impressed with. I’m not so convinced, even though HP claims that it will last you 12 hours and change with mixed use. But I believe that’s a reasonable compromise given the savings on this transaction.
Unlike many bargains in this price range, this laptop is brand new, having only been released this year. Amazon is offering two-day shipping, which is fantastic—at least for my address. Grab it while it’s still available! Alternatively, see bestcomputerfinder’s selections for the greatest laptops if you’re searching for something with more power or gaming capabilities.
