Microsoft’s branded AI platform, Copilot, is something they really want you to utilize. Microsoft really encourages you to use Copilot so much that using it with Google services, such as Gmail, Drive, and Calendar, is acceptable. That is made possible by a recent Windows Insider upgrade. Are you thrilled? Don’t all leap up at once.
The most recent version of the Copilot program for Windows may now connect to Google Personal Services and scan their contents, according to the Windows Insider Blog. Copilot can search through and examine Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Contacts if a Google account is connected. Additionally, you may utilize this third-party connection to grant it access to Microsoft accounts other than your primary account, allowing it to access Outlook and OneDrive on other accounts as well.
Natural language analysis and search are the central concepts here. Assuming you only know one Sarah and that Copilot is aware of the situation, you could ask, “What’s the email address for Sarah?” But why wouldn’t you use Gemini, which is Google’s version of the same thing, if you’re inclined to do that and you need information that’s in your Google account rather than your Microsoft account? There is no need for additional effort because it is accessible directly within the browser.
Perhaps a new tool for creating documents would be more helpful (and less concerning). A chat can now be converted and exported via the Windows Copilot program as a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, PowerPoint slide deck, or PDF. Both capabilities are accessible through the Microsoft Store’s Insider channel, however, not all users may immediately be able to activate them.
