By Naturally, Microsoft’s Surface was among the first to acquire Qualcomm’s incredibly efficient Snapdragon chips for its most recent iteration, as it is the industry standard for Windows-powered laptops. The 13-inch base model, which is normally priced at $1,000, is currently available on eBay for $599 in refurbished condition. It’s a significant, uncommon discount.
Although I should note that the fundamental specifications aren’t as good as some of the competition, $600 is a rather decent bargain for an all-aluminum, stylish laptop like this one. 256GB of storage can seem a little constrained if you deal with large files, but 16GB of RAM is good (it’s the minimum I would recommend for Windows 11 these days). The battery will last a ridiculously long time thanks to the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus processor, but it also means that many contemporary games won’t run on this laptop. Although the IPS touchscreen is excellent, there are other laptops in this price range that, at least when they’re on sale, can have an OLED.

Similar to many recent eBay sales, this laptop is “eBay Refurbished,” meaning it is in “like new” shape and is covered by a two-year Allstate guarantee. Although Microsoft is selling this model as a refurb for $720 (with a one-year warranty), if you’d rather buy from a more reputable source, I think it’s an excellent deal given that you’re saving $400 off the original price.
