My clumsy AI discussions became a thing of efficient beauty when OpenAI introduced Branched chats on the web earlier this year. Users of ChatGPT iOS and Android may now utilize the Branched Chats feature, which enables them to carry on conversations elsewhere instead of having a single, excessively drawn-out AI conversation.
Although branched chats were first introduced in September of this year, OpenAI has needed almost three months to integrate the feature into its iPhone and Android applications.
With the new mobile functionality, users can instantly long-press a message and choose “Branch in new chat,” which opens the message outside of the active chat and lets you separate distinct conversations.
Why was it taking so long?
I’m becoming more and more irritated with OpenAI’s incapacity to simultaneously release features across all of its platforms. The company’s launch strategy is excessively convoluted and fragmented, whether it is Branched Chats on the web or ChatGPT Atlas on Mac.
Branched chats are now available on iOS and Android, too. https://t.co/Z6KbIr5YBS pic.twitter.com/FsmBm5ntcP

When a new feature is announced, I want to be able to utilize it anywhere I use ChatGPT, not just on one device or according to certain requirements. No one should have to wait three months to utilize a basic function that has been accessible for nearly a quarter of the year because OpenAI is large enough to update all of its platforms at once.
One excellent example of what I’m talking about is using Branched conversations on iOS and Android. Why is the rollout taking so long? I’m open to hearing OpenAI’s sensible response; if not, quit ruining the excitement surrounding your products with awful launch tactics, subpar naming schemes, and dull livestreams.
