If you’re looking for a cheap laptop, I have a good deal for you. Today, you can purchase a refurbished Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 from eBay for just $410. It has a convertible display and a lot of power.
We weren’t impressed with this laptop’s $1,100 price tag when bestcomputerfinder tested it (note that that was with a more powerful processor). However, I believe it makes much more sense to get a refurbished machine with an Intel Core i5 120U processor and 16GB of RAM for less than half of that price. A spacious 16-inch 1920×1200 display, 512GB of storage, and an infrared webcam for Windows Hello face unlock are other attractions.
Thanks to its 16-inch touchscreen, this laptop is larger and weighs 4.59 pounds, which makes it somewhat weighty. Additionally, its battery life isn’t as great as some of the competitors’. However, several connectors (double USB-C, double USB-A, full-sized HDMI, microSD) and a full number pad on the keyboard are made possible by the large frame. As a Lenovo-distributed “manufacturer refurbished” device, it has a two-year Allstate warranty, which is longer than the standard 90-day warranty for a refurb.
This specific auction lot is trending, according to Amazon, so it might not be around for long. Even the additional $5 off discount that I’m seeing seems to be unpredictable. If it’s not what you want, make sure to look at our list of the top laptops, which includes several that are more affordable.
