Nature appears to be mending. The costs of OLED gaming monitors are gradually returning to their 2024 levels. Although I wouldn’t describe $450 as “cheap,” it is at least less expensive than it was a short time ago. An AOC 27-inch 1440p OLED gaming monitor is now available on Amazon for $120 less than its usual price.
Although AOC’s Agon Pro AG276QZD2 is one of the more reasonably priced options in this market and is regularly on sale, I haven’t seen it drop this low since well before Prime Day. With a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a 27-inch 1440p display, it’s roughly on par with the latest OLED improvements. If you ramp up all the settings of a recent triple-A game, that pace should make your gaming PC sweat, especially if you enable Nvidia G-Sync.
Unfortunately, because there are only two USB-A connections instead of USB-C, this OLED is more appropriate for desktop computers than laptops. However, it is also a wonderful addition to any game consoles that may be on your desk because it has two HDMI and DisplayPort ports. Additionally, it is ideal for attaching a monitor arm due to its VESA mount.
Since there is no countdown and Amazon claims that this is a “limited time deal,” I suppose that it has allotted a certain number of monitors to sell at this price. Don’t worry, though, if you’re not quick enough to get one; I’ll wager that something in this range will be available soon.
