There isn’t much of a benefit to choosing the RTX 5090 over the RTX 5080 in this game, though, as it’s not the finest we’ve seen.

AI performance

However, the RTX 5090 is slightly more attractive in terms of AI, and this primarily depends on the amount of RAM. With 16GB of VRAM, the RTX 5080 is a good amount for gaming, but it’s a little small if you want to run AI models on your laptop. On the other hand, the RTX 5090 has 24GB of VRAM. Larger models such as the Google Gemma 3 27B and Qwen3 32B can now be offloaded to the GPU thanks to this boost. Both are somewhat more than 16GB, which is more than the VRAM that the RTX 5080 can offer.
