Workmanship and Design
The Cooler Master MK770’s design is eye-catching right away. The grey-black color palette of the tested variant blends delicate hues with an aluminum surface that appears sturdy and well-made. The twofold sound insulation inside the keyboard, which was made possible by a real gasket-mount construction, is a unique feature. Keystrokes are acoustically dampened by this design’s use of flexible seals between the housing and the aluminum top plate, which also greatly lowers mechanical vibrations.
This guarantees a pleasingly muted and silent typing sound when combined with Poron foam and a silicone damping mat. The MK770’s design distinguishes it from many rival models by providing excellent acoustic and tactile feedback. The metal top plate not only gives the keyboard stability but also ensures a pleasing feel. Unlike the US version, however, our tested type does not come with durable PBT double-shot keycaps, but simply with regular ABS keycaps, which sadly tend to wear out and get glossy more rapidly.
Because the keystrokes sound a little hollow and lower quality, this partially detracts from the keyboard’s feel and acoustics. However, the keycaps provide unique symbols for MacOS, which makes the MK770 a desirable option for both Mac and Windows users.

Although it guarantees smooth, jerk-free feedback, the box switches’ linear feature has drawbacks. During the test, the 2.4 GHz wifi mode was quite impressive. Latency was hardly perceptible, even in multiplayer games with lots of action. There is no input lag or stuttering because the keyboard responds to commands instantly and gives the wireless configuration the appearance of a connected connection.
