latest AI capabilities and Arrow Lake are included in LG’s latest Gram laptops.

In anticipation of CES 2025, LG has unveiled its Gram laptop portfolio, confirming Intel’s introduction of the Arrow Lake architecture in laptops and providing a variety of AI software that can be used locally or in the cloud.

LG unveiled the LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 and two variants of the LG Gram Pro, the 17Z90TR and 16Z90TS. Additionally, LG is expanding its range with the Gram Book, a lightweight, entry-level PC with a 1080p display and a lower price tag. LG has not, however, disclosed the cost or the anticipated delivery date of these new products.

Both integrated and discrete graphics are available on LG’s two new Gram Pros. The 17Z90TR will come with an Nvidia RTX 4050 in addition to Intel’s Arrow Lake mobile processor, according to a press statement from LG. Arrow Lake should make its debut at CES 2025 in laptops from LG and other companies after its desktop launch, which received mixed reviews. As the newest Core Ultra processor, Arrow Lake (like Lunar Lake before it) may find a more accepting home in laptops because of its emphasis on reduced power.

LG has not yet revealed any intentions for Nvidia’s Blackwell chip, the GeForce 5000 GPU, which is anticipated to make its desktop and possibly notebook debut.

An Internet connection is necessary for LG Chat Cloud Although LG’s cloud model is based on GPT-4o, one of the most recent GPT models, using it will cost an unspecified monthly fee. (The initial year is complimentary.) With the added benefit of connecting with the user’s email and calendar, the service will offer “detailed and thorough solutions” to their inquiries. However, it appears that you will need to grant LG permission to merge your Gmail or Outlook email.

Specs and Features

Other than that, LG’s new Grams do not seem to stand out from the other notebooks at CES. Since only the more basic Pro model weighs less than 2.73 pounds, they are a little heavy. Despite having a 15.6-inch 1080p LCD screen, the new, inexpensive Book model weighs a hefty 3.74 pounds and only has a 51Wh battery.

Thankfully, the other Gram models come with high-end screens. The Pro 2-in-1 model offers an 1800p OLED option, while the other Gram models have displays up to 2560 x 1600 pixels. The three Pro models provide up to 32GB of memory and up to 2TB of storage.

An enhanced version of “Gram Link,” which sounds like a branded version of Intel’s Unison program for sharing content across Android phones and laptops, is supported by all of the laptops. Below is a list of the new LG Gram laptops’ specifications. (Note that LG uses the lowercase “G” in their branding to refer to these laptops as “grams.”)
