It looks like new AMD graphics cards are on the horizon. The RX 9060 XT has been the subject of rumors for weeks, and a few days ago, a listing appeared on a Brazilian retail website. However, it appears that the big A itself is giving away the information this morning: Amazon lists two separate 9060 XT cards, with the less expensive one costing “just” USD 450.
On the American version of the website, VideoCardz noticed two XFX models relaxing in a retail sub-page. They list the cards as $449.99 for an 8GB version and $519.99 for a 16GB version, but complete listings are not available. A higher clock speed of 3320 MHz and a rumored June 5th launch date are indicated in the details. No pictures are included.
The next-up Radeon RX 9070, at least at MSRP, costs $549 for comparison’s sake. (Good luck trying to find one for that amount of money!) However, AMD’s revelation of the MSRPs at that time does not necessarily follow from the fact that these particular cards are listed at these prices. Both cards probably include the typical partner manufacturer markup because they are marked as “OC” (overclocked) editions.
I won’t speculate on AMD’s pricing plan just yet, but it’s important to note that this card is supposedly in competition with Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti, which retails for $379 for 8GB and $429 for 16 GB. Computex begins in less than two weeks, but we don’t yet have any official information on announcements or surprises. Predicting the key PC hardware announcements at the event doesn’t require you to be a prophet.
